summer lifestyle anniversary session: hayley + tyson

Hayley was a small town girl.  Tyson played on the local hockey team.  They met at a party one night with a group of friends, and although they never thought much of it at the time, it was the sweet beginning of their forever love story.  It wasn’t until they kept bumping into one another (the perks of living in a small town) when they decided to go on a date.  Clearly the rest was history 😉  Three years married and two kids later, their love is still burning strong.

Hayley and I have known each other a long time…we used to be library helpers during lunch hour in elementary school together.  So when the opportunity of a photo session to celebrate their three year wedding anniversary arose,  I knew right away it was going to be a great time.  I thought it would be fun to bring along their babies, Zoey and Nixon, in for a few photos too to show how far they’ve come, and I’m so happy they did – they’re freaking adorable if you haven’t realised already…she put her baby in suspenders and I swear I just about died.

Tyson and Hayley, Zoey and Nixon, you were all such a joy to photograph.  Happy Anniversary and cheers to the many more ahead!  I hope you enjoy the sneak peek of your photos 🙂

I was a little worried since the day was a super smoky due to the recent wild fires, but it lent us the most beautifully diffused golden light.

Probably my most favourite photo I have ever taken…these people make my job easy!

When Tyson and Hayley were planning their wedding, they searched forever for old furniture for their vintage themed wedding with no such luck.  My friend Sydney from Rustic Rentals was happy to help out with some vintage themed pieces for their shoot and it set the perfect tone for the session.

Yeah, I’m surprised they’re not models too 😉

Three years married and two kids later…
