Last year when I decided to make the big move off the island and move back home, I knew it was the start to bigger and better things. The plan was to move back home for a year, then finally make the big move back to Vancouver, with Omar in tow, and I am happy to say that come October, that day will finally be here!
Omar and I have been planning this for months now, and I have to admit, it probably wasn’t my greatest idea to plan a move like this in the midst of wedding season, but I couldn’t be happier to start this new chapter in our lives together. So as of October 1st the morning phone calls will be replaced with hitting that snooze button and enjoying a few extra minutes of cuddles, our calls goodnight will be replaced with goodnight kisses and nights that turn out to magically be free can be replaced with spur of the moment pillow forts and movie nights. I know not everything will be unicorns and rainbows (although it should be) but I think spending the past year and a half apart has made us appreciate one another that much more and knowing the amount of hard work that went into making this happen will make it all the sweeter.
I have been waiting a looooong time to make this move happen and I have been extremely patient waiting for the right time and for everything to fall into place and I am still in awe that that day is almost here! And for those wondering, I will still be available to photograph weddings in the Thompson/Okanagan area 🙂 It seems fitting we’ll be moving in together in October as it marks two years since we first met and in moments of fear or stress we just give one another the reminder of October and all the bad feelings seem to just melt away. Omar, thank you for all that you do for us and I can’t wait for what the future holds. Here’s to October!
