A little over a week ago, in the wee hours of the morning, two of my great friends welcomed their second child into the world, a boy. On Thursday February 28th, I received a text message saying that Daisy was going into labour which was soon followed by a phone call at 1:20AM to head on down to the hospital because Luca was coming! This came to such a suprise as they had a scheduled c-section for the following Monday (which was still 2 weeks early from his original due date), but baby Luca had his own plans. At 2:45AM he made his first debut with the sweetest – and quiet – cry.
I was with Daisy the day before and looking back, I’m not surprised he came later on that night. She told me her and her husband went out for foot massages and that’s where her water broke. Thinking it was a false labour she decided to continue on with their massages and head on over to the hospital afterwards! It sure made for an exciting, and unexpected evening!
What a crazy joy/honour it was to be there (though I will be keeping my business focus on weddings, and saving these occasions for close friends + family!).
Daisy, your strength, positivity and your calm determination is amazing! I am so happy for you and your new family of four! Luca (and Jackson) are so lucky to have you both as parents…Much love to you all!
