Cherry Blossom Wedding Inspiration

A few weeks ago I had the absolute delight to work with Paige Griffith, a makeup artist here in Vancouver. She’s not only a wonderful makeup artist and great at what she does, but also a sweet, organized and capable woman that I am happy to call my friend. Back in February she came to me with her vision of a cherry blossom inspired wedding shoot and wanted to know if I was interested in joining the team. Even down with the flu, it took me all of one second to know I’d be thrilled to! It is always an honour to be invited to document a lovely vision that is brought to life and it’s always so much fun getting the chance to collaborate with an amazing group of wedding industry professionals!

I have a deep love for beautifully crafted paper goods and Jessica from Penscript on 6th did not disappoint with this stunning eye candy.

Many thanks to the wonderful ladies at Bespoke Decor who helped out with the decor. It really completed the whole look!

Jillian was our model for the day and all I can say is: Fierce.

The pops of purple in this gorgeous bouquet from Hanaki Floral brought a fresh and modern twist to the typical cherry blossom theme.

The day of our shoot just so happened to be the only day in the forecast with rain! We pushed it through and shot some details in Paige’s studio while we waited for the rain to subside. And I’m being modest, it wasn’t just rain, it was a downpour! THANKFULLY the rain eventually stopped and we made our way to the Stanley Park Rose Garden to get some shots with those beautifully pink cherry blossoms.

I love what Paige and Clara did with makeup and hair…they really know how to make a bride look gorgeous and their talent just blows my mind!
