Last week I had the privilege of photographing fellow Vancouver Photographer Paige from Community Photography. We have both been Instagram friends for a while now and met late last year when Omar and I had Christmas Photos done and we met up again in January to take some headshots of eachother.
It was so nice to meet up again in some warmer weather and catch a beautiful sunset on a quiet Tsawwassen beach. This time she brought her two adorable toddlers along for some family photos before grandma brought them home and we continued on with just the two of us.
Paige had found this beautiful spot in Beach Grove for our photos and it has the most dreamy sunset light. We kept it pretty candid with the photos with her children, but honestly, those are always my favourites. Don’t get me wrong, a traditional portrait has its place, but there is something about an image that shows an authentic look into someone’s life that just gets to me!
Take a look through some of my favourites from our time together…
Mama and her babies. Also, did you notice Georgia’s arm tattoos?
One last shot before grandma took them away and us photographers chased the sunset.
We found this nook a little ways down the road that had a little bit of everything. Sand, tall grass, logs to sit on, fun trees and if the tide wasn’t out, there would’ve been water too!
I really need to take style tips from this one. Every time we have shot together she always looks so effortlessly beautiful. Although I’m sure that’s mostly her personality shining through.
I always love shooting in Tsawwassen because it gives me total southern California vibes. I could shoot here every session if I could!
