I was so happy when this day finally came! Chiantelle and I met the week after Omar and I got engaged at this swimwear shoot in 2018. Since then we have become great friends, collaborated on a styled shoot that was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride, and she is even the one planning my own wedding. Chiantelle is a woman of many talents. Among other things, she is a wedding and event planner, a holistic nutritionist AND Erik and herself started a Youtube channel called Life on the Regular last year. She’s basically a real life super woman. So when I found out Erik proposed, I was over the moon excited for the two of them!
When we were first discussing their engagement session, they told me they wanted to take inspiration from Disney’s UP. I made the mistake of watching the first 10 minutes of the movie the day of their session. I completely forgot how sad it is. However, in the first 10 minutes, most of it without words, you can really feel how much Ellie and Carl love and care for one another. Although they never went on the adventure they saved their whole lives for, they made their lives with each other into the greatest adventure of all. That’s what I wanted to focus on with their engagement session. By doing that, their thirst for life, adventure and happiness with each other really came through.
Erik and Chiantelle have known each other for years before even dating. Their relationship started from friendship and it shows. They have a connection with one another that is rare and you can tell just by looking at them that they complete one another so perfectly.
