UBC Maternity | Vancouver Wedding Photographer: Julie Jagt Photographer
When I first heard that Jamie was pregnant, I reached out right away asking if she would like maternity photos. She wanted someplace with a clean white wall and I knew just the place – this white, angular art installation at UBC. While we waited for some people to finish with the same location, we started the session in a nearby spot with the same white, angular feel and some trees.
We wanted to do something a little different with this maternity session, and I am so thankful Nyck and Jamie trusted me to do so. I aimed to bring a modern twist and make the images more fashion-forward, like something you would see in a magazine. By choosing more editorial poses that still felt natural and playing with the angular lines of the building to keep it interesting and fresh, we were able to get that look. Looking back, I’m surprised we were able to do this entire session in 30 minutes.

How adorable are these two?!
We then moved on to this building and I love how everything turned out. It’s the perfect balance of minimal and modern and I have a little game I play each time I visit to get new angles.
Jamie, you are such a true beauty inside and out – can you believe there are twins in there?!
